Open to all senior individuals, the Procurement Leader Award is presented to procurement’s corporate star. The award showcases an individual’s significant contribution to a key initiative or project and how they have influenced its outcome.

This category recognises outstanding social, ethical, environmental, sustainable and community-centred initiatives. The judges reward the procurement team responsible for driving forward key corporate projects and the successful outcomes.

People Development

This category recognises the most effective people development or transformation plan within procurement. The judges reward programmes that have raised the skill levels of individuals and contributed to improvements in performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Sponsored by LowendalMasai

This category recognises a procurement team that has successfully worked with another function from the same organisation to deliver a successful project or initiative. The award is presented based on how collaboration has successfully influenced the outcome.

External Collaboration

This award will recognise the collaborative efforts of an organisation and an external supplier, service provider or other organisation that has had a real impact. Success could be in the form of new innovation or joint strategies for improving efficiencies or tackling supply-chain risk

Best Use of Technology

Entries in this category demonstrate the most effective use of technology within a project or initiative. The judges reward the organisation that can demonstrate how technology has successfully influenced the outcome of a project.

This award will reward those organisations that have realised a significant transformation of their procurement function. The award is designed to reward improvement, whether that’s significantly improving the quality of an under-performing function or taking an already high-performing organisation to the next level.

Public-sector organisations often have a unique set of challenges from their colleagues in the private sector, and this award is designed to reward the public-sector bodies that stand out. Entries should define very clearly the challenges and the methods employed to overcome them.
